The Trials Are Coming!

Anyways (my favorite way to start a post), I have been gone for like 2 months because well, firstly school is hard. I ended semester with a 3.0 so I’m happy. Secondly, I forgot my password because Cam Newton stole my laptop I broke my laptop and after that the shizz hit the fan. Well now I’m back, and just in time for the Olympic Trials.

I think it’s about time for me to test my prediction skills, get my Ms.Cleo on. So I will be trying to find out who will be on the Beijing team from the 100m to the 10k, I think this is gonna be a year of a lot of young guys to go to London.

currently listening to George Watsky: WATSKYYY. This white boy is goood.

new post coming soon, maybe today?

Eaton vs Hardee

Hardee vs Eaton

First of all. it’s GREAT to be back. School sucks, it;’s very time consuming and at the end of the day, I just could not muster the energy to put together a couple of sentences.

… The¬†Decathlon, absolute fvcking hell, a combined event consisting of 10 track and field events. It is an event created for people who are not great at one specific event, but consistent¬†at around 8 events.

Told ya

Sad Fact: I cannot name a Decathlete outside of the US: Dan O’Brien, Bryan Clay, Trey Hardee, Ashton Eatin’. *notice 3 of 4 named are bi/tri/quad-racial. Coincidence or Conspiracy???

Ashton Eaton is a MONSTER. He is a WR holder(Heptathlon), and he is possibly not even in the prime of his career. His strengths are the running events. He has 45 second 400m and 10-low 100m speed. He isn’t too shabby at the Long Jump, but his major downfall is the throwing events. He doesn’t suck, but he has work w3rk to do.

Smell ya l8tr

And then there was Trey Hardee. The Trey Hardee. 2-time World Champion Trey Hardee. Vestavia Hills, AL’s Finest. Trey is also an amazing athlete. He is Kobe Bryant to Ashon Eaton’s Lebron James. He performs when it counts.

Looks about right to me.

Unlike Eaton, Hardee excels in the throws; but it wouldn’t hurt if he improved in the running events.

So Let’s look at both athletes PRs Head-to-Head:

James Hardee | Ashton Eaton

100m – 10.40 | 10.26 100m

Long Jump – 7.88 | 8.16Long Jump

Shot Put 15.63  | 14.74 РShot Put

High Jump Р2.05 | 2.11 РHigh Jump

400m – 47.51 | 45.68400m

110m Hurdles – 13.71 | 13.35 110m Hurdles

Discus 52.68 | 47.36 – Discus

Pole Vault 5.25 | 5.20 – Pole Vault

Javelin 68.00 | 57.23 – Javelin

1500m – 4:42.23 | 4:18.941500m

Potential PR 9,091 | 9,012 РPotential PR

Silver et Gold

So what do stats really tell us? Stats tell me that although Eaton has a better PR than Hardee in 6 of 10 events, Hardee has a better Potential PR because some of his marks are waaaaaay better than Eaton’s.

That being said, i gotta go with:

Eaton < Hardee . At least for 2K12. Anything after the Olympics is all Eaton. and then Gunnar Nixon

na-na na-na boo-boo

Jelimo vs Semenya

Semenya vs. Jelimo

The women’s 800m field for the 2012 Olympics Games is looking to be stacked! You’ve got Caster Semenya (2009 World Champ), Pamela Jelimo (2008 Olympic Champ, 2012 World Indoor Champ), some Russian chick Mariya Savinova (2011 World Champ), Kenya Sinclair and Erica Moore. With Jelimo getting her form back, it’s hard to go against her…but oh wait there’s a man in the race! Caster Semenya is looking just as good as he she ever has. But enough with the gender jokes, Caster’s a woman and sucks for whoever disagrees.

Looking Right!

After Jelimo won the Olympic Championship in 2008, she must’ve gotten to comfortable, like females after marriage, because she started sucking soo bad. She ran a 2:05 at the 2009 ¬†Prefontaine Classic (she won the Olympics in 1:54.82). Semenya on the other hand was making a name for herself. She set the WL two times in ’09, the final time was in the WC Final where she ran a 1:55.45.

Stinkin' up the track

she is more muscular than me... ūüė¶

Looking like Usain Bolt. #winning

Roll around to 2K10, nobody cares about that year. Nothing really important, Semenya is going through gender tests and Jelimo is trying out the Alan Webb Diet©.

In 2011, Semenya dolled herself up a bit and continued to be a force to be reckoned with on the track. Jelimo on the other hand was even worse than the year before. She ran a 2:09 at the Pre Classic and didn’t do much after that.

Nice Braids.

Now days, Semenya is just getting into form while Jelimo already has a major championship under her belt. She won the World Indoor title in a time of 1:58.83.

I'm back, B!tches

So, the real question is, who is more intimidating?

Mortal Kombat on them Ho's

Finish Him!

Jelimo has 4 arms, Semenya has abs of steel. It’s a tough one but, I KNOW¬†that one of the two will win the 800m at the Olympics, which one of the two is the trickiest part. But, that’s what predictions are for. Semenya is an ox, she runs with brute¬†strength¬†and¬†power while Jelimo is more speedy.¬†

At the end of the day I’ve gotta go with my instinct…

Semenya¬†> Jelimo (bro’s gotta stick together – Man Law)
