Womens 100m

Lets be real, there are only 4 3 real “contenders” in the Womens 100m, and they are nothing to play with.

Allyson Felix (10.93): She has been American Track and Field’s poster child since she graduated high school. Anyways, she is hella fast and is looking to get 2 Gold medals at this game (100/200). But seriously, she is what they wanted Marion Jones to be. I would say she is the closest thing to 2000 Marion Jones ever, if she trains for the 100, 200 or 400 she could win them at any level.

Nike looks good on you, Allyson

Carmelita Jeter (10.67): The 2nd Fastest Woman…EVER! She missed the finals of the US Trials in 2008, but has made every major championship since then, winning Gold in the 100m in 2011. She is 32, but seems to not be slowing down significantly, 10.70 in 2011 and 10.81 in 2012.

she RaTcHeT

Kimberlyn Duncan (10.96): The NCAA Runner-up over 100m, and the NCAA Champion over 200m, Duncan is flat out talented. Her loss in the 100m was a bit of a shock, because she went into the meet with world class times. She is only a junior in college so expect an amazing career out of her. She scratched :/

The Tigers have something to look forward to next season

Tianna Madison Bartoletta (10.97): Originally a long jumper; had a stellar Indoor campaign and since then, I’ve had my eye on her. She is has a great start, and she has great top-end speed. Earlier this month she whooped up on Jeter and Felix at the Adidas Grand Prix, beating them by .08 and .10 respectively.

Ditch the Pit

My Predictions:

Madison, Jeter, Felix will be donning the in reppin’ the Land of the Free

The 100/110 Hurdles

So I decided that this is time consuming as hell and so some of my predictions will be condensed.

The Ladies

Lolo Jones (12.43): She is a VIRGIN. But these days, I prefer a woman with more experience. She has the experience, she won the 100 Hurdles at Beijing should have won the 100 Hurdles in Beijing but she fell and fooked it up for herself, ended up getting 7th place. She has not ran as well in the past couple of years, dealing with the injuries of being a 29 year old VIRGIN. But c’mon, do you really thinks she’s a VIRGIN, she is too (maybe three) fine. She has something to prove.

virgins don’t take pics like this, slore

Kellie Wells (12.50): US Champ in 2011, and US Leader this year with (12.55), Wells is looking ready to do something special in Eugene. She ran a 12.35 wind aided time in 2011, the girl is fast. Trains with Dawn Harper.

Kristi Castlin (12.56): Just ran a  PR of 12.56 on June 7, she is a force to be reckoned with. Saw her run indoors once, she ran a 7.94.

Dawn Harper (12.48): Olympic Champion in Beijing, nuff said. Trains with Kellie Wells.

Teeth 4 Dayz

Christina Manning (12.68): NCAA Champion in the 100 Hurdles, in my eyes (not a hurdler, or a hurdle coach) she runs a flawless race. She is very consistent throughout rounds and her headgear is dope.

lookin’ rough

Others to Watch: Queen Harrison, Jackie Coward

The Guys

David Oliver (12.94): 12.94 in 2011, 2012 a more pedestrian 13.13. Kinda annoying, reminds me of Dwight Howard because of his shoulders. US Champ in 2011. Had a crappy subpar showing at Pre Classic against a very strong field.

Terrence Trammell (12.95): TrackStar Apparel, possibly the ugliest track gear I have ever seen. He has consistently been a top name in US Hurdling, but lately, he hasn’t really been in “the mix”. He is a bit on old side (1978), having made 3 Olympic teams already.

You Can’t See Me – John Cena

Aries Merritt (13.06): No relation to LaShawn, but fast in his own sense. Ran a wind aided 12.96 at Pre Classic this year, but double false started at Adidas Grand Prix. He beat Liu Xiang at World Indoors in Istanbul at 60m Hurdles. US Runner-up in 2011

Jason Richardson (13.08): NBA Slam Dunk Champion World Silver Medalist Champ in 2011 at 110m Hurdles, has very long hair. Long Hair, Dont Care.

Not Jason Richardson

Dexter Faulk (13.13): Can never count this guy out, he is consistently top 5 in America. Ran a PR of 13.13 in Ostrava in May, ran the same time in 2007.

My Predictions:

The Ladies: Kellie Wells, Dawn Harper, Kristi Castlin

The Guys: Aries Merritt, Jason Richardson, Dexter Faulk

And those 6 will be reppin’ the US in London.

OTC Eugene vs Oregon Project vs OTC Portland

OTC Elite vs Oregon Project vs Wisconsin University OTC Portland

Sooo, if any of you are like me, you have absolutely no idea WTF is going on with Oregon professional running circle. I thought there was one OTC, they all wore the same jersey at one point, so it made since that they were all a big team. But then I start hearing different coaches names and shxt about different groups, and so, I Google’d it.. And then I found out that Alberto Salazar’s group became the Oregon Project. And Now OTC has two official branches, one group trains in Eugene with Mark Rowland and the other group trains in Wisconsin Portland with Jerry Schumacher. So who runs the state?

Hi Gorgeous can I leave my eyes wit ya?

Peep the Tat.

YMOTC

So then comes the problem of sorting runner…who goes where??

Schumacher’s Group – Matt Tegankamp, Chris Solinsky, Evan Jager, Lopez Lomong, Andrew Bumbalough, Shalane Flanagan, and Kara Goucher.

Shalane Flanagan looking right

We're #1

Czech out that nose!!

Wearing a skullcap is like un-circumsizing your penis. Oh hai, Lopez.

Damn, that's messed up. Sha-Sha, you know you sexy

Al Sal’z Group – Galen Rupp, Alan Webb, Mo Farah, Dathan Ritz…., Matthew Centrowitz, Ciaran O’Lionard, and Kara Goucher.

Very Diverse.

Ritz may be old, but he put it on J-Mac

Peter Pan & Shaun White

Ebony & Ivory

Rowland’s Group – Jordan McNamara, Ashton Eaton, Jesse Williams, Andrew Wheating, AJ Acosta (trains with Wheating/Brown), Nick Symmonds, Sam Chelanga, Tyler Mulder, Sally Kipyego, Jemma Simpson, and Russell Brown. (Missing lots of people)

Must be legit, they have a team pic

#winning

Sally Kipyego and her brother husband.

Jesse Williams, your Linus is showing.

Needless to say, all three groups are very talented, but which group is better?

They all have:

  • poster boy’s (Solinsky, Rupp/Centrowitz, Symmonds/Wheating)
  • token black guy’s (Bairu/Lomong, Farah, Chelanga/½ McNamara/½ Mulder/possibly ¼ Eaton)
  • very fast women (Goucher/Flanagan, Rupp, Kipyego)
  • insane hair (Jager – Locks golder than Goldie’s, O’Lionard – Mullet of Champions, McNamara – Waves that make you seasick)
  • Daegu WC Medalist’s (Flanagan, Farah, Centrowitz, Williams, Eaton, Kipyego)

OTC Eugene > Oregon Project > OTC Portland

OTC Eugene is just too much, they have the distances covered from 800 to 10K, they have field events and Jemma Simpson is hot. If Oregon Project would have kept Kara Goucher, they’d most likely be the winners. OTC Portland is two ladies away from being a sausage fest.

Maybe Coach Li needs an OTC Arizona?
